Dear Resident,
I am Satya Sookhun. A secondary school teacher living near Everest School. I'm married with 3 children and a lovely Labrador. My family is the main reason I have put my name forward for these elections. I want my children to grow in a thriving and prosperous area such as Popley but there are still many local issues that need addressing. As Gandhi once said
“Be the Change you want to see in the World”
I therefore have to take a more active role. I'm a school governor of two local schools, a member of the Police Independent Advisory group and I also take part in many other local organisations and charities. My wife and I worked tirelessly to support the NHS during the pandemic. I have personally heard of many families in Popley who have suffered tremendously during these difficult times and we want to help them rebuild their lives successfully.
