Maria Miller MP met with Dudley Mason virtually to discuss the National Citizens Service (NCS) Programme running this summer in Basingstoke.
Th programme currently has 108 students across Basingstoke signed up with a further 84 places available.
Maria Commented; “ I would encourage anyone in Year 11 or their first year at college to sign up. NCS is a chance for 15 to 17-year-olds to meet new people and engage in a wide range of activities. It boosts employability skills and NCS makes students CV’s and UCAS statements stand out. Additionally, young people can access future opportunities from top employers
and face new challenges and learn a variety of skills. The pandemic has meant that many young people have missed out on time with their peers and learning new skills, so this year NCS seems particularly important."
