Basingstoke MP Maria Miller welcomes the opening of South Western Railway's (SWR) new electric vehicle charging points. 

SWR has invested £100,000 in 60 new charging points at six busy station car parks on its network, demonstrating a commitment to making rail travel more sustainable.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller met up with young people taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) scheme in Basingstoke to learn about what they have been doing as part of the programme.  She was accompanied by NCS board member Flick Drummond.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller is encouraging local charities and community groups to apply for funding from a pot of over £3 million that has been raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Maria Miller MP visited Basingstoke based Apprenticeship Provider ITEC. ITEC can provide Apprenticeships at any point in the year. Many requests for help come from Young People in the town who need help starting their career path.

Stephen Reid has suggested that more green areas are 'rewilded' - left unmown so that wild flowers may grow and birds and insects are encouraged. He has written to County Council officers making the suggestion.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller joined in celebrations at St Bede’s school to mark their 50th anniversary.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller visited Castle Hill Primary School in Rooksdown for an update with Head Teacher John Martin.  The School opened in September 2015 and is the  Rooksdown campus of Castle Hill Primary School.
