Coffee with the Pink Palace

Local MP Maria Miller was pleased to join volunteers, supporters and guests of Basingstoke’s Pink Place for a coffee morning held at the Red Lion in the town centre recently.

Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, joined in with the Environment Agency’s fish survey on the River Loddon recently, to see one of the ways in which the water quality of the river is monitored. Maria was joined by Cllr Elaine Still and Dr Alan Gibberd of Countrywatch.

Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, was pleased to visit Link Microtek recently, a local company which designs, manufactures and supplies components and equipment for the telecommunications industry.

MARIA PRAISES WORK OF BASINGSTOKE CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU

Local MP, Maria Miller, recently visited Basingstoke Citizens Advice Bureau in Festival Place, for an update from the staff and volunteers there on the important work they do in giving advice and help to local people. 

MARIA SEES YOUNG FOOTBALLERS PUT THROUGH THEIR PACES

Maria Miller, Basingstoke MP and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, called in recently at Hampshire Football Association HQ at Winklebury, to see 130 children aged 5 to 11 from local football clubs being put through their paces in an FA Tesco Skills Session and then take part in Hampshire FA’s 4 v 4 tournament. 

MARIA CALLS FOR PROPER SOLUTION TO RIVER POLLUTION

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller is highlighting the continuing problem regarding the pollution of the River Loddon and the bearing that this has on housing levels in the Basingstoke area.
