MARIA MARKS ENGLISH TOURISM WEEK IN BASINGSTOKE

Local MP and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Maria Miller, marked English Tourism Week recently by visiting one of Basingstoke’s prime tourist attractions – and hearing about one of its newest.

Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, together with Cllr Keith Chapman and Cllr Elaine Still, recently planted poppy seeds outside Milestones Museum, to launch a campaign to plant poppies in Basingstoke’s public and open spaces, roadsides, gardens and fields to mark the centenary of the start of World War One next year.
