The pupils were from Marnel Infant and Junior Schools, and were accompanied by a teacher from each school. The Tesco Manager, Paul Cavaliere, was also present, along with the store’s Community Champion, Julie Shepherd.
Maria took the opportunity to ask the Marnel pupils about what they had particularly enjoyed about the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, and was also interested to hear about the sports that the pupils enjoy themselves.
Maria said: “It is always a pleasure to make these presentations. This is the 20th year for the Tesco for Schools and Clubs Programme and now includes a wide range of useful extra equipment for schools and clubs. I very much enjoyed meeting the pupils and teachers from the Marnel schools and hear about their enthusiasm for the scheme.”
