The Jobs Fair is being organised by a partnership of the Borough Council, the Discovery Centre, Job Centre Plus, the Basingstoke Consortium, Queen Mary College and BCOT. Local employers will be attending the Jobs Fair to talk about their current vacancies and how to apply. Workshops and one-to-one advice will also be available on careers, interviews, CVs and job-searching.

Maria said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for work or wanting to improve their skills to get help and guidance on the best way to go about it. It is sometimes difficult for people who are looking for work or a new challenge to know what employers are looking for, and this Jobs Fair will give them the information that they need, as well as the opportunity to see what vacancies are on offer.”

She added: “While employment levels in Basingstoke have remained above the national average, I know that many employers still have vacancies, and this is a great way of matching those employers with people who want work.”
