Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, called in at Castle Hill Junior School recently, on one of her regular visits to Basingstoke schools.
During her visit, Maria met the new Head Girls and Boys for this year, Simran Atwal, Parnika Agrawal, Jack Freeman and William Browne. They gave her a short tour of the school, showing her the refurbishment work that is underway on “over-cladding” the whole school and the temporary classrooms that have been set up as part of this.
Maria also heard from Head Teacher John Martin about other current issues for the school and future plans.
Maria said: “There is always something new going on at Castle Hill Junior School and I was really pleased to catch up with developments. It was also great to meet the new team of Head Girls and Boys who have an important role in the school over the next year, and I wish them all success.”
