Maria recently visited Coppice Spring School in Pack Lane, Basingstoke. Coppice Spring is a special school for children aged 11 to 16 with social and emotional needs. Since 2014 it has been an academy sponsored by the Delta Education Trust.

Maria met Head Teacher Mr Matthew McLoughlin-Parker, to discuss the latest developments at the school, and then had a short tour of the school. She also had the opportunity to meet some of the students and present one of them with an award for excellent achievement.

Maria said: “It was good to catch up with the Head Teacher on current issues at the school, and to speak with some of the students.”
