Basingstoke MP Maria Miller took the opportunity recently to call in at the Camrose Centre in its new location at Glebe Hall. The Camrose Centre provides advice and support for homeless and vulnerable people in Basingstoke.
The Camrose Centre provides a drop-in service every Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
The Centre relies heavily on help from volunteers and on donations from members of the public – either of money or food. Anyone wishing to help should contact Basingstoke Voluntary Services on 01256 423816.
Maria said: “The Camrose Centre is a unique service for people in Basingstoke who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or are otherwise vulnerable. I talked to some of the service users at the Centre and it was clear that they see this as an essential source of help and information.”
