Basingstoke MP Maria Miller is urging people in Basingstoke who have had experience of the Hantsdoc out of hours service to make their views known to the Care Quality Commission, who will shortly be carrying out an inspection of this service.
Hantsdoc forms part of “North Hampshire Urgent Care”, which also includes Frimley Primary Care Service. The Care Quality Commission is inspecting all providers of out of hours GP services between now and June 2014 and the North Hampshire service is due for inspection in March this year.
Maria said: “This inspection of the out of hours GP service is an important way of looking at how well the service responds to patients’ needs and can also consider how the service communicates with other local services, such as GP practices, care homes and emergency services. I hope that people in the Basingstoke area who have used Hantsdoc will make their views known to help inform the inspection.”
