Maria said, “As a patron of the Basingstoke & District Disability Forum it was an honour to attend their annual Christmas Party held at Popley Fields Community Centre. A great opportunity to meet so many old friends and to support the important work of the BDDF.”
BDDF Members, volunteers, and carers got into the festive spirit along with special guests the Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane Cllr David Leeks and Mayoress Amanda Leeks.
The BDDF are the disability champions of Basingstoke and offer important support for anyone young or old who are affected by disability in the local community. They aim to promote both visible and non-visible disabilities providing information and awareness by bringing people together. Members are able to access free activities such as yoga to help aid mobility.
