Maria Miller visited the sewage works in Basingstoke again to investigate reports of storm overflows and to discuss the impact of new housebuilding. Storm overflows including in Basingstoke are now reported online thanks to changes made by this Government which started in 2010.
Maria Miller MP said, “10,300 households in Basingstoke on low-incomes will start to receive the latest cost-of-living payment from the government to tackle ongoing high bills.
Maria Miller recently visited Sainsbury’s alongside Cllrs Stephen Reid and Rebecca Bean to view new CCTV cameras which have been installed to deter dangerous car meets.
Maria said, ‘’Hampshire County Council’s fostering department supports hundreds of fostering households across the county. Rated as outstanding by Ofsted, the department provides valuable and extensive support, training and opportunities for fostering families.
Maria said, ‘’The bus network has a crucial role to play in reducing road congestion, air pollution and helping our community achieve its net zero goal. Plans for more electric vehicles will be an important way for Stagecoach to play their part.
